The Perry Ellis S/S11 show informed guests of the brand's latest endeavor, Project Beach, an initiative to restore gulf coast beaches. All net proceeds of specially designed white polo shirts with a pelican emblem and "Project Beach" embroidery will go to help fund oil spill recovery programs.
The beach played a big roll throughout the show; a palm tree scene lit up the back wall as models came down the runway. With carefully groomed hair by Frank Rizzieri for RSessionTools.com, sun-kissed male models donned Keds and casual, yet sophisticated sportswear. CupcakeMAG saw lightweight linen v-neck sweaters, multi-striped polos, and linen/cotton blend shorts in neutrals and warm ocean blues. Shades of coral and tangerine were seen in plaid shorts, and color block polo shirts. Our favorite look was a cotton sateen evening suit in a sandy color. As always, Perry Ellis delivered wearable, elegant clothing that exemplified smart style true of the American male.
