This is the third home that the uber-talented interior designer Steven Gambrel has designed for this Manhattan couple and their children. First he designed their present home in the same apartment building. He then designed a home for the family in the Hamptons. The family had outgrown their smaller apartment so they asked Gambrel to create a third home, an apartment which is a combination of the apartment the family had lived in for ten years and an apartment that became available next door.
Gambrel gutted both homes and started over designing and decorating the stunning home. What resulted was a loft-like dwelling with separate open and inviting rooms.
Gambrel used a mix of modern and traditional furnishing and accessories. The walls are finished with Venetian plaster, the entry-way floors are a black and white marble, the kitchen cabinets are lacquered and the island is topped with black and gold marble. ENJOY!
