Day One NYFW: Nicholas K

What: Nicholas K Fall 2011: "Into the Wild”
When: Thursday Feb. 10th, 9AM
Where: Lincoln Center, The Studio

“I was inspired by the woods and rustic living; the survival instinct and going back to primitive ways. The fall colors of the forest are reflected in the palette and overall aesthetic and I used a lot of texture and incorporated Navajo inspired prints. Think log homes, gypsies, stone fireplaces, owls, camping and migration," explains Nicholas.

This season, Nicholas collaborated with Vintage Shoe Co. to create limited edition boots, including a unique and edgy “Creeper” style, which will be shown in several colorways and used for both men’s and women’s looks.

The brother and sister duo do it again as they open Mercedes Benz Fashion Week with very wearable and comfortable looking clothing -- two things we truly adore. The "very cool" looking models strutted the runways in lots of neutral edgy rock pieces. We especially died over the chunky cream knit jacket - it just looks so cozy compared to these freezing cold temps.
